2019 Eastwood Lunar New Year has been successfully held on February 16， 2019 （Saturday）from 4pm to 9pm at Eastwood Oval. City of Ryde Council partners with the Lunar New Year Committee in putting on an outstanding program of events for the community to participate in and enjoy throughout the festival.
VIPs have presented at the stage together. They are Mayor of Ryde Jerome Laxale, Chairman of the New Year Celebration Organizing Committee, Vice Mayor Zhou Shuo, City Councilor Penny Pederson, Christopher Gordon, Roy Maggio, Vice Chairman of the Organizing Committee Dr Anthony Ching. Greater Sydney cultural & Business Association has proudly presented a grant parade at Eastwood Oval for the celebration of the Eastwood Lunar New Year Festival! The parade director, president of GSCBA, Ms Moon has put a lot of effort in organising the Multicultural community parade. The parade has been led by dragon and lion dance following with parade groups with a total number of 639 parade participants.
